Goldberg could give us a surpriseWrestleMania is just less than a month away and WWE is hell bound on making the pay-per-view a memorable one. While a good portion of the card is booked, the swerves that WWE could bring into the show is something that is making the fans talk. There are a string of rumors making the rounds on the Internet and most of them are mouth-watering prospects for the fans. Although most of them are just going to end up as rumors, it is always good to give our imaginations a run by fantasizing them.So here are some of those rumors about WrestleMania 32 that we wished were true.
#5 Bullet Club debut
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
Ever since WWE snatched the likes of Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson, everyone is looking forward to the debut of The Bullet Club. Finn Balor added fuel to the rumors with his new Balor Club shirt which had ‘Bulletproof’ as a tag line.
There are some rumors which suggest a debut by the Bullet Club at WrestleMania.
Bullet Club could helpShane McMahon get control of Monday Night Raw and this could result in a big shift in the WWE landscape. An NXT invasion from Triple H is also among the rumors, so there is also a chance of the Bullet Club working for Triple H and making it a three way power struggle between Shane, Vince and Hunter.
#4 Return of Goldberg
The Internet has been buzzing about the potential return of Goldberg to WWE for quite some time now. Some are suggesting a match between Goldberg and Lesnar at WrestleMania 32, while some suggest that Goldberg is simply going to appear in a non-wrestling role.
Either way, an appearance from the former WCW World Heavyweight champion would help WWE big time.
Goldberg working as a wrestler might not be something that would please everyone but his presence could make WrestleMania trend in a positive manner. And this is just what WWE wants ahead of their post-WrestleMania Raw, which is going to be special as always.
#3 Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee
Recently, a rumor broke out about the appearance of Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania. He has confirmed that he will be there for the show, but the role he would play is still a topic of discussion.
A special guest referee role for the main event could well be part of the plans. Considering the storied friendship between Triple H and Shawn, adding Shawn as the guest referee would stack the odds against Reigns.
On paper, it is a great scenario. If WWE wants to turn Shawn Michaels against Triple H, they could do it during the match and turn the focus on Shawn rather than Reigns, who looks set to get jeered once the final bell rings.
#2 Dean Ambrose in the main event
Dean Ambrose is a main event talent, period. There will be arguments against this statement but his talent to perform at the highest level is well known.
Currently, Ambrose is booked for a No-Holds barred match against Brock Lesnar at the pay-per-view and the rumor mill suggests that the winner of this match would go on to the main event and make it a Triple threat for the WWE title.
WWE used this technique back in WrestleMania 30 with Daniel Bryan and the results were overwhelming.
If they want to do something similar with Ambrose, he is likely to get over as well. Reigns is clearly not going to get a positive reaction if he wins the title but Ambrose, on the other hand, would present us with an entirely different story.
#1 John Cena turning heel
Cena’s heel turn is an angle which has the power to turn WWE upside down. It would be similar to Hulk Hogan’s turn in WCW, and could build up some quality moments for Vince McMahon.
Cena’s injury might be keeping him out of competing for the time being, but he confirmed that he will be present during WrestleMania.
This sparked off rumors about a potential turn from the Cenation leader. According to the rumors, Cena is expected to interfere in the Undertaker vs. Shane McMahon match and help Taker to win the match. On the next night, Cena would align with the Authority.
It is an angle that has so much potential, and hopefully, WWE would take the risk.
