The 2022-23 NBA season continues on Monday, November 28, with 20 teams in action. Take a look at three strong team bets for tonight's action, featuring the Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns, and Chicago Bulls.
Best NBA Team Bet #1: Los Angeles Lakers -3 (-117)
After starting the season just 2-10, the Los Angeles Lakers have won five of their last six games.
Lakers star Anthony Davis has been dominant over that stretch. The eight-time All-Star has averaged 33.4 points per game, 17.6 rebounds per game, 2.4 assists per game, 2.0 steals per game, and 2.6 blocks per game while shooting 64.4% from the field and 89.5% from the free-throw line over his past five games.
Furthermore, Davis' co-star LeBron James has returned from injury. With Davis sitting out of the lineup in the Lakers' last game, the four-time NBA champion had, by far, his best game of the season, finishing with 39 points while shooting 52.4% from the field, 58.3% from three-point range, and making all ten of his free throws.
While the 11-8 Indiana Pacers have been a pleasant surprise this year, they simply don't have enough defensively to stop the two Lakers stars. Look for Los Angeles to win by at least four points.
Best NBA Team Bet #2: Phoenix Suns ML (-115)
The 13-6 Phoenix Suns are ranked first in the Western Conference thanks to a top-ten unit on both sides of the ball. The Suns offense ranks tenth in points per game and second in offensive rating, while their defense ranks sixth in opponents points per game and fifth in defensive rating.
Furthermore, Phoenix are starting to click, winning their past four games. While the 10-8 Sacramento Kings have had a top-three offense, ranking second in points per game and third in offensive rating, their defense has been atrocious. The Kings rank just 27th in opponents points per game and 23rd in defensive rating. Look for the Suns offense to take advantage by winning this contest outright.
Best NBA Team Bet #3: Chicago Bulls ML (+104)
The Utah Jazz have come back down to earth after a 10-3 start, winning just two of their past nine games and dropping from first place in the Western Conference to eighth. While the 8-11 Chicago Bulls have been quite underwhelming offensively this season, ranking just 17th in points per game and 21st in offensive rating, they have been strong defensively, ranking 13th in opponents points per game and ninth in defensive rating.
Look for the Bulls to take advantage of a struggling Jazz team and use it as an opportunity to get their offense back on track.
