Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears Match Details
Fixture: Philadelphia Eagles @ Chicago Bears
Date & Time: Sunday, December 18, 1:00 p.m. EDT
Venue: Soldier Field, Chicago, Illinois
NFL Player Prop #1: Jalen Hurts Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-115)
Jalen Hurts is currently the favorite to win NFL MVP, and deservedly so. Hurts has been great all year long, and he puts a ton of pressure on opposing defenses. When it comes to passing TDs, Hurts has racked up 16 in his past seven games, good for an average of 2.3. Over this span, he's thrown at least two TD passes in six of the seven contests, and he should have a lot of opportunities to get to two today. The Bears have a decent pass defense, but they've allowed 18 TDs overall in their last six games. The Eagles should be around the red zone and the goal line pretty often today, so expect Hurts to throw two TDs for the fourth straight game.
NFL Player Prop #2: David Montgomery Under 15.5 Rushing Attempts (-114)
David Montgomery has accumulated 643 yards on the ground this year on 4.0 yards per carry, which is solid, but the Bears' QB Justin Fields likes to run the ball nearly as often as Montgomery. As a result, the Iowa State back has failed to record 16 rushing attempts in ten of his past 11 games. He has gotten to 15 pretty often, but today the Bears may be forced to pass the ball more often. If the Eagles have a comfortable lead late, look for Chicago to abandon the run, which should result in fewer carries for Montgomery. Also, since Philly has been great defensively overall, the Bears might be on offense less often than usual.
