Plenty of player props are available for the NFL Week 9 matchup between the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The Falcons sit alone atop the NFC South despite having just a 4-4 record, while the 4-3 Chargers are one game back at the Chiefs in the AFC West. Below, we'll go through the best player props for this inter-conference showdown.
Los Angeles Chargers vs. Atlanta Falcons Match Details
Fixture: Los Angeles Chargers @ Atlanta Falcons
Date & Time: Sunday, November 6, 1:00 p.m. EDT
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta, Georgia
NFL Player Prop #1: Justin Herbert Over 37.5 Passing Attempts (-114)
Justin Herbert's attempts have been sky-high over his last two games, and on the year, he averages 44 per game. The Falcons have the worst-ranked passing defense in the league, and even though the Chargers are missing some key receivers, it hasn't affected Herbert's numbers. Austin Ekeler, the Chargers' running back, has caught 22 passes over the last two games, and it's likely that Herbert will target Ekeler pretty frequently on Sunday. Herbert has surpassed 50 attempts in each of his past two games, and while he might not be around 50, he should definitely get off 38 passes versus Atlanta.
NFL Player Prop #2: Marcus Mariota Over 24.5 Passing Attempts (-102)
Marcus Mariota went through a stretch where he barely attempted any passes, but in last week's win over Carolina, Mariota went 20-for-28, tossing 253 yards. This was the best passing game of the year for the former Titans and Raiders QB, and this was a direct result of the Falcons changing their gameplan. Even with the return of running back Cordarrelle Patterson, look for Mariota to throw the ball a lot on Sunday.
NFL Player Prop #3: Michael Bandy Under 31.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Michael Bandy has only logged four catches all year in the four games where he's been active. He's also only seen ten targets in these four games. Even though he may be on the field more than usual due to the Chargers' wide receiver injuries, Bandy will still be behind Joshua Palmer, Gerald Everett, and Austin Ekeler when it comes to receiving options. Bandy recorded one catch last week for -5 yards, and overall he's an afterthought. Expect Bandy, who has just 48 yards on the season, to stay under 32 on Sunday.
