Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons Key Stats
Through seven games, the Cavs rank sixth in points per game, and a lot of that has to do with new acquisition and leading scorer Donovan Mitchell. Mitchell averages 31.1 points, and he's chipped in with 7.1 assists per game too. The All-Star guard is questionable tonight with an ankle injury. Mitchell has made a seamless transition to Cleveland's offense, and surrounding him are Darius Garland, Caris LeVert, Evan Mobley, and Jarett Allen. On paper, this is one of the best starting lineups in the league, and these players balance each other out really well. Cleveland has great length and size with Mobley and Allen, which makes up for any defensive issues they may have on the perimeter. As a result, they rank third in rebounds per game and fifth-best in defensive field goal percentage.
Looking at Detroit, second-year guard Cade Cunningham has looked pretty comfortable to start the year. His efficiency hasn't been great, but his totals of 21.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 6.4 assists display his versatility. He's joined in the backcourt by rookie Jaden Ivey, who is up at 14.6 points per game, and new acquisition Bojan Bogdanovic has impressed, averaging a team-leading 21.8 points. The Pistons' bench has struggled, though, and outside of their main scorers, it's been tough to find many positives. Detroit ranks in the bottom five in points per game and field goal percentage on both ends of the floor, so it'll be an uphill battle for them to notch win number three tonight.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons Best Picks
Even though Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland are questionable, the fact that they participated in shootaround earlier today indicates they have a good chance of playing. The Cavs average 58.9 first-half points per game, while the Pistons have been way more effective offensively before halftime as well. Look for these teams to combine for over 113 by the end of two quarters tonight.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons Betting Prediction
The Cavs have been amazing against the spread this year at 6-1. They haven't played many road games, and their two leading scorers are questionable, but Detroit just doesn't have enough talent to cover the spread here. Back the visitors to win and cover once again, as their chemistry has been great in the early going, no matter who's been on the floor.
Prediction: Cavaliers -5.5 (-110)
