Commanders vs. Giants Key Stats
The Washington Commanders have found success, thanks in large part to their defensive unit, which ranks tenth in the league in opponents' points per game. The Commanders, who are allowing just 19.7 points per game, have not allowed more than 21 points since Week 4.
While Washington average just 19.4 points per game, ranking 24th in the NFL, they have won six of their past seven games after a 1-4 start.
The New York Giants have turned things around under first-year head coach Brian Daboll. After finishing last season 4-13 with a bottom-ten unit on both sides of the ball, the Giants have been one of the biggest surprises.
While their offense ranks just 22nd in scoring, averaging 20.5 points per game, their defense has been above average, ranking 14th, allowing 21.1 points per game. The Giants, however, have seemingly hit a wall after a 6-1 start, losing three of their past four games.
Commanders vs. Giants Betting Prediction
The Washington Commanders and New York Giants are two teams headed in opposite directions. While the Commanders started the season poorly, they have been one of the hottest teams in football. The Giants, on the other hand, have had a great start to the season but have cooled off considerably.
Furthermore, New York's strength is their running game, led by Saquon Barkley. Washington's defense, however, has been a top-ten unit against the run all season.
Barkley, who ranks fourth in the NFL with 992 rushing yards and fifth in the NFL with 1215 all-purpose yards, has been one of the best running backs in the league this season. The Giants star, however, has struggled as of late, as he has failed to pick up more than 53 rushing yards in three of his past four games, all Giants' losses.
Look for Washington's defense to take advantage of a struggling offensive unit by winning by at least two points. Furthermore, look for the two teams to combine to score fewer than 41 points.
Pick: Washington Commanders -1.5 (-114) and Under 40.5 Points (-110)
