Denver Nuggets v Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks (10-10) have had a rough time away from home this season, losing their past five consecutive road games. In some potentially good news for the Dallas outfit, their opponents tonight, the Detroit Pistons (5-18), have fallen to the Mavericks in the past five games they've played against one another.

The Pistons are having a disastrous season thus far and are coming off of a 140-110 thrashing against the New York Knicks last night. The loss marked the Pistons' third straight defeat. The Mavericks, meanwhile, are coming into this game off of a win over the Golden State Warriors.

Mavericks vs. Pistons Prediction

The Mavericks' recent victory over the Warriors marked their first win in five games. They'll look to keep this winning form going tonight as they try to regain some of their lost momentum. Despite their recent setbacks, the Dallas crew have looked respectable in regards to offense. It's their defense that has primarily let them down lately but even that isn't as subpar as their opponents' defensive issues.

The Pistons, meanwhile, are in dire straits at this point and have lost their past four home game which doesn't bode well for tonight. Between their struggle to consistently display good offense and poor defense, their season has been incredibly rough thus far. Even with their defense issues of late, the Mavericks should be able to pick up a second consecutive win tonight.

Prediction: Mavericks -8 (-110)
