The Duke Blue Devils will play host to the Boston College Eagles on Saturday. Duke, ranked #17 in the nation, has a highly talented squad once again, and they've started 7-2. Boston College is off to a solid 5-3 start themselves, but they did suffer a 21-point loss in their previous game to Nebraska. Duke is carrying a six-game winning streak versus BC into this one, and again it'll be tough for the Eagles to knock off the favorites in this one.

Boston College Eagles vs. Duke Blue Devils Key Stats
Duke has one of the best defenses in the country, and so far, they're allowing just 58.7 points per game. This stat is even more impressive, given the fact that they've played three ranked opponents. On offense, Kyle Filipowski leads the team in scoring (15.4) and rebounding (9.1), and he should be featured heavily today. Point guard Jeremy Roach is one of the more experienced players in the ACC, and he leads Duke in dishing with 3.8 dimes per game.
An area that the Blue Devils have excelled at is on the offensive glass, where they are grabbing 13.4 boards per contest. In addition to the seven-foot Filipowski, bigs Dereck Lively II and Ryan Young have been tough to contend with down low, and this should be the case again this afternoon.
Boston College has really struggled offensively, and they have limited scoring options. Senior Makai Ashton-Langford does lead the way with 12.1 points per game, but last game, he shot a poor 2-for-11 from the field. He'll look to bounce back today, but with Duke's tough defense, it won't be easy for the Eagles to get a lot of good looks. BC has been especially bad from three, shooting under 30%, and they're making just 4.6 per game, which will make it that much harder to pull the upset.
Boston College Eagles vs. Duke Blue Devils Betting Prediction
BC has covered three of the past four head-to-head meetings, dating back to the beginning of 2020, but the home team has covered six of the past seven meetings. The best bet here is the under, though, as it's gone that way in six of BC's past seven. It's also hit for Duke in seven of nine this year, a testament to their intimidating defense. Look for a low-scoring affair here as both schools open conference play.
