The Golden State Warriors take on the Houston Rockets on Sunday (November 20) at the Toyota Center in NBA Regular Season action.
The Warriors have had a rocky road, quite literally, this season. They have gone 7-9 thus far and sit in 11th place in the Western Conference standings. They will come into this game on the back of a 111-101 win over the New York Knicks. The Rockets, on the other hand, have been terrible this season. They have only managed to win three of their opening 16 games of the season as they sit rock-bottom in the West. The betting odds and predictions are as follows:
This Warriors dynasty has always been a phenomenal offense, with the likes of Curry and Klay working their magic. But they have always had a rock-solid defense that has facilitated them in winning more rings than any other team this decade. That defensive acumen has lost out this season for the Warriors. They are currently ranked in the bottom six defenses in the NBA. Their offense is still very solid thus far, leading the league in assists per game and 3PA per game. Klay Thompson hasn’t had a very good start to the campaign, forcing Stephen Curry to turn it up a notch, as that’s exactly what he’s done.
Curry has been outright sensational this term. He is averaging 32-7-7 thus far on nearly 70% true shooting, which for a player who attempts as many shots as he does, is ridiculous. He has been a different breed in November, scoring 33 a night. This month alone, he has put up 50, 47, 40, and 39 points in individual games. If the Warriors can get their momentum going and have Curry playing the way he is, he’ll surely be a prime MVP contender.
The Rockets have been poor this season. They rank in the bottom three for offensive rating, defensive rating, and wins. They have lacked offensive efficiency this season, having the second-lowest field-goal attempts and field-goal %. They also give the ball away the most times in the NBA, averaging nearly 18 turnovers a game.

KPJ has been arguably the Rockets’ best player this season. He is a toss-up for this game. Otherwise, both sides have pretty much all of their main players fit for this one.

Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets Betting Prediction
The Rockets are no match for the Warriors. The Warriors haven’t had the smoothest of sailings this term but are still substantially better than the Rockets. The Warriors are fielding their best starting five, which of course won them the ring last season and should feel confident beating the Rockets tonight.
