The Memphis Grizzlies face the Detroit Pistons on Sunday (December 4) at the Little Caesars Arena in NBA Regular Season action.
The Pistons have struggled massively, going 6-18 thus far as they sit in 14th place in the Eastern Conference standings. The Grizzlies, on the other hand have been great so far. They are currently fourth in the Western Conference standings with a record of 13-9.
The Pistons have been woeful this campaign but have picked up decent form recently. They have gone 3-3 over the last six including stellar wins over the Jazz and the Mavs. They come into this game after said victory over the Dallas Mavericks 131-125. It was a sensational Luka Doncic performance that threatened to propel the Mavs to victory, but Bojan Bogdanovic's 30-piece took the Pistons home in OT. It was an outstanding outing by Detroit's big-man duo Isaiah Stewart and Marvin Bagley III who combined for 25 boards and 28 points.
In the prolonged absence of Cade Cunningham, Bojan Bogdanovic has stepped and delivered for Detroit. It was his 30-point outing that sealed the deal against Dallas. Over the last games, when Bogdanovic has scored less than 20, the Pistons have lost. This puts into perspective how dependent they are on his output. He is averaging 21-4-2 thus far on 65% true shooting.
The Memphis Grizzlies, led by Ja Morant are one of the best teams in the NBA. Their offense is firing on all cylinders this campaign, scoring 115 points a night. They are currently the best rebounding team in the entire NBA, racking up 49 boards every game. They are also one of the most disciplined sides in the league, net ranking in the top five for personal fouls.
