Washington Wizards (-5.5) vs. Detroit Pistons (O/U 220.5)
The 1-2 Detroit Pistons travel to the nation's capital to take on the 2-1 Washington Wizards.
The Wizards could easily be 3-0. But unfortunately for Wizards fans, they fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers in overtime in their last game. The Wizards play better at home and are unbeaten there in the early season.
Meanwhile, the Pistons are struggling mightily on the defensive end of the court, having given up 127 points on average over their last two. I don't see how Cade Cunningham can keep pace with the balanced Wizards attack led by scoring sensation Bradley Beal.
Prediction:
Wizards 118
Pistons 110

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Dallas Mavericks (-4.5) (O/U 220.5)
The 1-1 Dallas Mavericks travel to The Big Easy to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. Luka Doncic and the Mavericks offense got it going in their last outing as they choked the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Pelicans are limping into this one. Unfortunately for Pelicans' fans, Brandon Ingram is in the NBA's concussion protocol and will likely miss this one. Zion Williamson is questionable heading into this one, and with an organization playing it cautiously with their franchise big man, I would expect Zion to sit out this one. I don't see how an out-gunned Pelicans squad can keep up.
Prediction:
Mavericks 110
Pelicans 100
Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Los Angeles Clippers (-9.5) (O/U 213)
The Oklahoma City Thunder, searching for their first victory of the season, travel to the City of Angels to take on the 2-1 Los Angeles Clippers. The Thunder have been one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA this season, failing to hold an opponent under 115 points.
Paul George and the Clippers appear locked in to start this season. The Thunder could be down one of their top playmakers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who is day-to-day with a hip injury.
Regardless, it is tough to see the Thunder sticking with the Clippers for four quarters. The Thunder are in full tank mode and don't have enough talent.
Prediction:
Clippers 110
Thunder 98

Phoenix Suns (-1.5) vs. Golden State Warriors (O/U 225.5)
What a nightcap we have in store as the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors travel to face the (2-1) Phoenix Suns. The Suns could very well be the team that poses the greatest threat to a Warriors repeat.
Chris Paul leads an efficient Suns' offensive attack. Meanwhile, Steph Curry has begun the season white-hot with three 30-point performances. Expect plenty of points in this one. The Warriors take this game as an opportunity to make an early-season statement.
Prediction:
Warriors 120
Suns 116
