Rapper Drake lost one million dollars after betting on Argentina to win the World Cup within the stipulated duration of play.
Champagne Papi loves placing huge bets, and after looking like he had a winning ticket twice, he suffered a huge loss when yesterday's World Cup Final went into extra time and later on to penality kicks.

For those that missed the game, one of the wildest finals of all time resulted in Argentina winning the World Cup.
Argentina took a 2 - 0 lead into the 80th minute, but Kylian Mbappé just needed all that time to warm up, as he equalized for France quickly within the 80th and the 81st minute. In a span of ninety seconds, the game was flipped upside down.
The match went into extra time with a cagey first half, but Argentina managed a goal in the second. Lionel Messi scored, and it looked like he was finally a World Champion.
However, Mbappé wasn't done with the theatrics and once again tied the game. So with a 3 - 3 score, the game went to penalty kicks, and Drake's million-dollar ticket turned into a worthless piece of paper.
The good news for the hitmaker was that the Canadian rapper also had an Argetina moneyline ticket, which cashed to help hedge his losses, but if it wasn't for Kylian Mbappé, Drake would have won several million dollars yesterday.
The Drake Curse
Drake has become quite popular for this behavior in the betting world. He is known not only for placing outlandishly large wagers, but for losing them regularly as well.
It's come to be known as the Drake curse. He loves backing favorites in big games to win championships, but seldom do his bets payout.
Some bettors have started blindly fading Drake's bets. Whenever he posts a large wager online, people run to the sportsbook to place a bet on the opposing team, and the vast majority of the time, the faders win thanks to Champagne Papi's run of bad luck.
Drake made several different wagers on Argentina, so while some are saying the curse is broken, we are sure another wager in the near future will once again make Champagne Papi the laughingstock of the gambling Twitterati.
