Broncs @ Friars: Key Statistics

The Rider Broncs are not a huge offensive team as they averaged 67.8 points per game and conceded 69.3 points per game as well. They brought back their solid backcourt as they have Dwight Murray Jr and Allen Powell returning to the program. They have a few newcomers on their frontcourt, but the ball handlers are the same and have another year of experience under their belts.

The Providence Friars are a hard team to dive into this season, but looking at last year's numbers, they had a good season as they scored 71.5 points and allowed 66.2 points per game. However, they lost five of their top six scorers from a year ago, and this should be an interesting season for them. Ed Cooley is a great coach, but expecting them to return to the Sweet 16 feels a little too optimistic for this program.

Broncs @ Friars: Pick & Prediction

Despite all of the new changes for Providence's roster, they still are the more talented team with the better head coach, and that is what you need in order to win games at the collegiate level. The Friars have been a whole lot better defensively and should be able to control this game. The Broncs are 5-15 ATS in their last 20 Tuesday games while the Friars finished last season 6-2 ATS in their previous eight games.

Pick: Providence Friars -13 (-110)
