The Wisconsin Badgers will be playing the Stanford Cardinal on Friday at American Family Field in the Brew City Battle. Wisconsin won their opener, 84-59, over South Dakota on Monday, while Stanford beat Pacific 88-78. These schools are pretty evenly matched, and even though neither team is home, Wisconsin will have more fans behind them in the crowd for this one. We'll see how these teams fare in their first meeting since 2018.

Stanford Cardinal vs. Wisconsin Badgers Key Stats
Stanford's offense was very efficient on Monday, and they were led by senior guard Mike Jones, who exploded for 31 points on 9-for-15 shooting. Jones transferred from Davidson, and he couldn't have asked for a better start to his Stanford career. Another Jones, Spencer Jones, figures to be a featured option for the Cardinal after leading them in scoring last year, but Spencer missed Monday's game with a lower-body injury. He's questionable for tonight's contest, but in his absence, look for Harrison Ingram and Michael O'Connell to see increased usage. Ingram had a solid freshman season, and on Monday, he had a nice all-around game, finishing with seven points, six boards, and six dimes. Wisconsin's defense did play well in the opener, though, so Stanford will likely have a tougher time scoring, and it might be hard to get back to around 88 points tonight.
Wisconsin held South Dakota to just 2-for-15 from three last game, a testament to their strong defensive performance. Offensively, the Badgers' Tyler Wahl recorded a double-double, tallying 19 points and ten boards in the win. Wahl, who is now in his senior season, is expected to take a leap this year, and he should be one of the better interior scorers in the Big Ten. His teammate, point guard Chuck Hepburn, finished with 14 points and a pair of steals, and these two should carry Wisconsin all year long. The Badgers feature all upperclassmen in their starting lineup, so look for them to rely on their experience tonight, too against Stanford.
Stanford Cardinal vs. Wisconsin Badgers Betting Prediction
Stanford will be at a disadvantage here, traveling all the way from the west coast to Milwaukee. The Cardinal are 5-0 against the spread in their last five neutral site games, but tonight is basically a home game for Wisconsin. Back the experienced Badgers to win and cover tonight in the "Brew City Battle" behind their stars, Wahl and Hepburn.
Prediction: Wisconsin -3.5 (-110)
