The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will be hosting the Syracuse Orange on Saturday. Notre Dame has gotten off to a nice 6-1 start, including a perfect 6-0 mark at home. For Syracuse, they're just 3-4, but they have enough talent to string some wins together. Back in February, Notre Dame beat Syracuse by ten points at home, so we'll see if the Orange can avenge that loss and end their three-game slide.

Syracuse Orange vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish Key Stats
Syracuse's offense has had some issues so far, especially last time out against a tough Illinois team. In their game on Tuesday, they shot just 27.8% from the field, their worst mark of the year, and they also committed a season-high 17 turnovers. Freshman guard Judah Mintz leads the Orange in scoring (15.1 PPG), but seniors Jesse Edwards (13.7) and Joseph Girard III (13.4) aren't too far behind. Scoring hasn't been a huge issue for Syracuse, but in all of their losses, they've been held to 40% shooting or worse. Today, they'll need to be more efficient from the field to snap their losing streak.
Notre Dame's senior big man Nate Laszewski averages a team-high 16.9 points and 8.6 rebounds, and he's been a huge part of this team's success. Laszewski has been a reliable sharpshooter throughout this career, and this year he's up at 42.9% from deep. It's not just Laszewski that gets buckets, though, as the Fighting Irish have four other players averaging double figures. Notre Dame's starters all average over 33 minutes per game, which could be an issue later in the year, but so far, they've been very consistent and have displayed great chemistry.
Syracuse Orange vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish Betting Prediction
Notre Dame was able to bounce back against Michigan State on Wednesday after an upset loss to St. Bonaventure in the Gotham Classic. At home, though, the Fighting Irish have been dominant, and they'll look to show up in front of their home crowd once again. Syracuse has failed to cover each of their past four contests, and even though both teams are 2-5 against the spread this year, back the home side here to win and cover like they did on Wednesday. Also, with this early start, expect a lower-scoring contest, especially since the under has hit in four straight contests for Notre Dame.
