Tonight's main event sees two top 15-ranked heavyweights collide when the No.7-ranked Derrick Lewis (26-10-1 NC) looks to break his two-fight skid against the No.12-ranked Sergey Spivak (15-3).

Lewis, a popular veteran and crowd pleaser, rarely goes the distance in his clashes. Spivak, meanwhile, has TKO'd his past two opponents within the first two rounds. The chances of this fight going to the scorecards are slim.

While neither man is likely to secure a heavyweight title bout with a win here, a rise up the rankings could see Lewis return to the top 5 or Spivak crack the top 10. Concerns regarding Lewis' chin and general durability have been raised owing to his 1-3 record in his past four fights.

At a glance, Spivak's recent knockouts don't seem to bode well for Lewis, but it's worth considering that his recent wins have been over talents (Greg Hardy and Augusto Sakai) well below Lewis' level. This is the biggest fight yet of Spivak's career.

Derrick Lewis vs. Sergey Spivak Tale of the Tape

Lewis will be coming into the fight with a 21lbs weight advantage over his younger opponent. Both men share the same reach and height, so striking exchanges and defense will not immediately favor either fighter.

While 'The Black Beast' has the record for the most KOs in UFC history, Spivak is looking good at a comparatively early part of his career with 7 KOs already on the trot. Should Lewis KO Spivak here, he'd break his own UFC record and stand at 14 knockouts in the promotion.

Derrick Lewis vs. Sergey Spivak Prediction

While it's hard to ever count out Lewis' right hand, Spivak is the younger, more versatile fighter here with notably more grappling ability and experience. Lewis, meanwhile, has never displayed all that much skill or technique in his fights, instead relying predominantly on his immense knockout power and unconventional grappling defense to get the job done.

Considering his past two TKO losses, it appears Lewis' conditioning and general health for the octagon is in decline. With this in mind, the healthier, more dynamic Spivak can likely use his grappling skills to work around his foe's heavy strikes and secure the biggest win of his career yet.

Prediction: Sergey Spivak via TKO/KO
