Wisconsin vs Marquette Key Stats
Wisconsin hasn't been that consistent offensively, and a lot of this has to do with their poor efficiency within the arc. From three, they're shooting fine, but not too long ago, they had a rough stretch of games with terrible shooting percentages. Their leading scorer, senior Tyler Wahl, is up at 14.4 points per game, and he also leads the team in rebounding (7.1), so keep an eye out for him. The Badgers' lack of playmaking could be an issue going forward, though, as their leading assister, Chucky Hepburn, averages just 2.7 dimes, while the team averages only 10.7. Defensively, Wisconsin has been excellent, though, as they allow just 57.4 points per game and impressively hold opponents to just 25% from deep. This will be key for them today as they travel to Milwaukee.
Marquette's Tyler Kolek is arguably the best passer in all of college basketball. His 8.3 assists per game are the second most in the nation, and he's coming off an impressive 11-assist performance. He's averaging a modest 8.8 points per game, but he's been very efficient from deep. Both Oliver-Maxence Prosper and Kam Jones average 14.1 points per game, so expect them to see a lot of touches again today. Defensively, the Golden Eagles record 9.5 steals per game, so look for them to be pests on defense this afternoon.
Wisconsin vs Marquette Betting Prediction
Marquette has been excellent this year, and they've covered five of their past seven games. Wisconsin has had a tough schedule, and they're a perfect 4-0 against the spread in road games. Despite this, expect Marquette's fluid offense and various scoring options to prove too much for the visiting Badgers.
