The Buddh International circuit hosted India's first Grand Prix in Formula. The circuit continues to host the Indian GP from 2011 to 2013. The circuit can hold over a 100,000 spectators. The circuit was awarded the '2011 Motorsport Facility of the Year' award at the Professional Motorsport World Expo in 2011.

India's largest stadium, the Salt Lake stadium was inagurated in 1984. International superstars such as Lionel Messi and Oliver Kahn have played at the stadium.
