Arsenal FC linked with Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente

Arsenal FC have been associated with a number of players recently. Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente is the latest addition to the list as Barcelona refused to sell David Villa .

Barcelona have told Arsenal to give up trying to sign David Villa as the 31-year-old will not be going anywhere this month.

Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Everton are among the other clubs that have been associated with the striker, while Arsenal were said to be leading the chase in the last few days.

However, according to Barca president Sandro Rosell, Villa is not leaving the Nou camp this month.

After Arsenal held a 2-2 draw at Swansea, Wenger admitted that there is room for new recruits following the departure of Chamakh and Djourou.

Adding a supreme goal scorer like Llorente would be a much appreciated addition for the club that’s been battling to replace striker Robin van Persie.
