Barclays Premier League Preview: Super Saturday!

Gameweek 14 is underway and there are some exciting encounters coming our way this Saturday with 6 of the top 7 playing. We hope it’s going to be goals galore in the Barclays Premier league.

Newcastle United vs Chelsea:

The weekend will kick off at the home-town of Newcastle. Surprisingly this season so far Newcastle United find themselves 4th in the table just a point above Chelsea whom they face on Saturday. Newcastle have lost just once this season in the hands of the team who are yet to lose this season in the league – Manchester City. Newcastle managed to get a draw even at Old Trafford and are now looking set to take on a Chelsea side who are a little vulnerable at the moment. Chelsea beat Wolves last week after a defeat in the Champions league. Andre-Villas Boas heads into this game under-pressure as his side is looking down and out of the season already.

Blackburn Rovers vs Swansea City:

“Sack Steve Kean” these are the three words the fans are singing around Ewood Park. After Kean took over Blackburn, it has been a downward spiral for the side since then . Blackburn this time around find themselves in the bottom three and are up against a Swansea side, who are very poor away from home. Swansea are yet to win a Barclays Premier league game away from home and this weekend it looks like its highly likely, as Blackburn have problems of their own. The Nigerian striker Yakubu has been in sensational form this season so far, as he’s scored as many goals for Blackburn this season. For Swansea their star man has been Sinclair without a shadow of doubt with disrespect to his Torres-like miss against Manchester United.

Manchester City vs Norwich City:

35 points out of the possible 39. That says it all. Manchester City have been rocking the Premier league charts this season. With City dropping just 4 points in the 13 games they have played they look set to win the Premier League for the first time ever, ahead of their Manchester rivals United. They have a 5 point lead at the top already and there’s no stopping them. Last weekend they had a tough trip to Anfield and still came out with a draw after being down to 10-men, when ‘Bad Boy’ Ballotelli was back to his old self. With their strikers Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero in red-hot form, they look set to put the Etihad stadium on fire again. Norwich has been the best side this season, than the other two promoted sides QPR and Swansea. Norwich already have given United and Arsenal some testing times and now look to face City who are the league leaders and they will be up for the challenge.

Queens Park Rangers vs West Bromwich Albion:

QPR lately have faced drop in form after they defeated Chelsea. Rangers have been looking good in their approach to the game, but haven’t been able to find the right result. On the Other hand, West Brom have been playing out of their skins, to try and get some points. They beat Bolton the week before. This looks like a tight contest and we’ll have to wait and see, who has the final say.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Bolton Wanderers:

28 points in 10 games for Spurs. Just one draw and 9 wins, after the defeat to the two Manchester Clubs at the start of the season. After the defeats in their first two games they have just never looked back and now they find themselves third in the table. Spurs face Bolton at home, who are now in the relegation zone. Owen Coyle has been one of the favourites to be sacked after Steve Bruce of Sunderland.

Wigan Atheletic vs Arsenal:DW Stadium is not a easy place for any team, is it? Wigan look set to take on a Arsenal side who drew last week with Fulham at home. Wigan meanwhile, have Franco Di Santo in fine form. The Chelsea loanee has been looking good in the Wigan shirt and has been pairing up well with Hugo Rodallega, as they will try to break this Arsenal defence. Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie will look to score more goals. An Incredible stat of 31 goals in 29 games this calendar year has had no one stopping him.

Aston Villa vs Manchester United:

It’s been four years since Manchester United have won at Villa Park. Manchester United this time will be desperately keen to change that as they need to secure three points to remain in touch with their nearest rivals City. Aston Villa at the moment is completely out of form as they look to cement and try and get back on track.

So, We all know what are the ambitions of the teams this weekend and are expecting to watch some enticing clashes to look forward to. We hope it will be a top-class weekend in the Barclays Premier league.
