Bike review: Honda CRF50F

There’s a good reason Honda’s CRF50F is probably the world’s most popular beginner bike. Relying on its engine, the 49cc air-cooled single-cylinder, it offers manageable power and torque for a kid to get accustom with it and then have a lot of enjoyable riding days in which he or she will be gaining valuable confidence.

The engine is being backed-up by a three-speed transmission that is clutch-equipped, leaving junior worry-free about changing gears or pulling a clutch lever that would have never seem appropriate on a bike in CRF50F’s category.

Novice riders are tough on machinery, yet year after year Honda’s CRF50F comes through with flying colors. It’s the longest running model in our off-road line-up. And to keep it running flawlessly, it’s loaded with features like a maintenance-free CD ignition, automatic cam-chain tensioner and proven Honda engineering and build quality.
