The teenager impressed with her consistency

Standing tall amidst some experienced shooters, 16-year-old shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for the finals of the event with a combined score of 388 from four attempts (98, 98, 96, 96), topping the qualifiers list. However, what she did not know was what was in store for her in the finals.

Competing with some experienced names in the finals along with compatriot Heena Sidhu, the teenager swept aside all her tension and put on a composed performance that saw her bag the gold medal with a score of 240.9. The score was also a new Commonwealth Games record, a moment to cherish for the teenager.
