Dechawat Poomajaeng of Thailand crashed the hopes of India’s Pankaj Advani who was eyeing for his second title in the IBSF World Snooker Championship. He defeated the Indian Champion Pankaj Advani by winning 10-7 in the best of 19 frames final. The young Pankaj Advani lost the match by 37-67, 71-47, 69-35, 138-00, 12-85, 15-68, 13-63, 27-68, 57-56, 61-15, 15-71, 35-75, 32-58, 71-25, 62-33, 00-130, 08-92.
Poomajaeng made it tough for Pankaj Advani to give Dechawat any challenge and won the first frame with ease. However Pankaj Advani didn’t lose hope and went for a draw in the next frame. Advani also won the next two successive frames making a century break of 138. But Poomajaeng overcame the challenge to win the next four frames. At one time scorecard was reading 5-5.
Dechawat then went on to increase his level of the game winning the three frames in the succession making it hard for Pankaj Advani to stage a comeback. The Thai cueist who led the first session by 5-4 increased his lead to 10-7 to finally emerge victorious in the match.
Pankaj Advani was unable to cope up with the pressure and managed to win only only one frame before Dechawat sealed the victory with the century break of 130 in the 16th and 92 in the 17th frame.
Rodney Goggins of Ireland grabbed the third spot after defeating Noppadol Sangnil of Thailand by 4-2. Hard luck fpr Pankaj Advani but we are sure Pankaj Advani will bounce back being the champion he is !
