Bengaluru-based EduSports has come up with a new model which will help schools to teach students the fundamentals of sports.
The model named ‘do it on your own’ targets to reach out to 1,000 schools in a four-year plan and also plans to gain a turnover of Rs 100 crores during the aforementioned period.
“Just as how schools hold monthly and quarterly tests in subjects including maths, science and English, a class of students will be sessioned on the prescribed lesson and would later be asked to demonstrate the task, either collectively or individually,” said EduSports co-founder and managing director Saumil Majmudar.
“The performance will be monitored and graded as per the physical fitness assessment table designed by us,” he added.
The company currently gives services to 20,000 students from 21 private schools, including 18 in Hyderabad. The company also has launched a ‘Momentum Light’ program which outsources PE services to schools whose annual student fee is around Rs 5,000.
