Ever since Fernando Torres joined Chelsea F.C,he has come under the criticization banner a numerous number of times.If you look at his performances in the first two seasons he played for Chelsea,in the 2010/11 season he scored just one goal in 14 games and in the next season he scored 11 goals in 49 games.These stats are by any means poor.But this season is a totally different story.He has scored 21 goals and is Chelsea’s top scorer for the season.but after all that performance he still is under criticization.Why is it? It’s because of the high expectations he garnered when he was at Anfield.It is because of these overrated expectations that inspite of being the top scorer for Chelsea this season,he is still not liked by many. One word I have to say is please don’t over expect for something to happen.Torres was undoubtedly under a ton of pressure after being the most expensive player in EPL history and it is this constant over expectations and criticism around him that he was not able to find the confidence he needed to score goals.But now he finally has begun a resurrection process,He has also made a Chelsea record by scoring in seven different competions this season.If his current form continues and he keeps his confidence one can be sure that the old Torres who was unstoppable at Liverpool will make a come back the next season or by the middle of next year at the max.
