1. Name: Uga Okpara also know as Uga Samweli Okpara

The heart of Kingfisher East Bengal’s defence, Okpara marshals the defence with his leadership qualities and gets the most out of each and every defender. The 29 year old Nigerian footballer who was also involved with Nigerian Beach Soccer football team, also played in the FIFA beach soccer tournament in 2005 and 2007. He has been the pivotal in East Bengal’s success off late. The defender signed for the Kolkata Giants in 2009 and has had a big impact on their defence. East Bengal have struggled to cope up without his presence at the back. His match winning performances he has caught the eye of arch rivals Mohun Bagan, who are likely to lead the way for his signature next season. Goan clubs like Dempo, Churchill Brothers are also reported to be interested in the tall and strong Nigerian centre back.
