India’s men’s and women’s sides have each won their respective titles at the third kho kho championships in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, with both teams enjoying an unbeaten run throughout the tournament.
The scorelines for both victories were also nearly identical, with both teams defeating their rivals from Bangladesh. While the women’s side won 26-16, the men won 26-17.
Sarika Kale won the women’s match-winner title, while counterpart Aniket Pote won the men’s prize; each player was awarded 51,000, with Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar felicitating winners at the event.
