India will have its biggest ever contingent at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020 as 54 athletes will represent the country across nine different sports. In contrast, the Rio Paralympics saw 19 athletes from India participate.
Indian para-athletes will compete in archery, athletics, badminton, shooting, table tennis, para canoeing, swimming, powerlifting and taekwondo.
The Tokyo Paralympics 2020 will begin on August 25 and end on September 6 2021.
High jumper Mariyappan Thangavelu will be the nation's flag bearer at the Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
