Another international friendly is knocking the doors of Indian Football team. According to the AIFF website Indian Football team will play UAE on November 18th.Which means that will be their third friendly in November.
AIFF seems to have done a wonderful job of arranging these friendlies for team India before the prestigious AFC Asia Cup 2011, Qatar gets underway. Suddenly it seems like something is happening in Indian football. When was the last time we remember AIFF managing 9 friendlies in the span of 2 months. Frankly speaking we have not played 9 friendlies in a complete year nearby.
UAE are currently 99th in FIFA world rankings and are a tough opponent to play and that too at their home. They were the 2007 Gulf Cup champions. They will certainly not be any pushovers with players like Saeed Al Kass, Subait Khater and Ahmad Khalil in their squad.
This means India has these matches in schedule for November (till now):
FIFA International Friendly:
11th November: India vs Iraq
14th November: India vs Kuwait
18th November: India vs UAE
Practice matches:
24th,27th,29th November: India vs Al-Sharjah, Al-Shabbab, Al-Ain(actual fixtures to be announced.)
