Indian Oil launches sports scholarship for school students

Indian Oil Corporation has come out with a wonderful opportunity for upcoming players in India. The country has a huge number of players in different games but due to lack of proper guidance and financial support players are not able to groom up their talent, and hence they are not able to achieve adequate success. Many students have benefited from this scholarship in previous years.

This year too Indian Oil has launched the Indian Oil Sport Scholarship 2015 for school students, targeted at the upcoming players in the country. Students aged between 14 and 19 years who represented state or country, with national ranking between 1 to 15 in junior or sub-junior category or semi-finalist / finalists of national championships can apply for this scholarship.

The Games for which this scholarship will be disseminated are cricket, hockey, basketball, volleyball, football, kabaddi, tennis, billiards and snooker, golf, carom, badminton, chess, archery, boxing, gymnastics, shooting, swimming, wrestling, table tennis and athletics. This year there are 140 scholarships up for grabs, compared to 70 last year.

Indian Oil will give Rs. 9,000 to 14,000 per month for three years to the students, up from Rs, 5,000/ per month from the previous year. Notes to remember when applying fot the scholarship:

1. Incomplete form will not be accepted.
2. Passport size photograph has to be pasted in the application.
3. Sign should be across the photograph and also at the end of the form.
4. Date should the exact date at which the form is sent.
