Kane Richardson, who plays for the Rajasthan Royals, has pulled out of the IPL this season owing to personal reasons. The 24-year-old Australian pacer was bought by the Royals in 2014 and played 7 matches for them last season.
The Rajasthan-based franchise are yet to announce a replacement for the talented Australian.
The Royals are stacked with a strong bowling attack which includes the likes of Tim Southee, James Faulkner, Shane Watson and Dhawal Kulkarni and hence, Richardson’s absence may not hamper the team much.
Hailing from South Australia, Richardson plays for Adelaide Strikers in the Big Bash League and his strong showings there earned him an IPL call. He was first wrapped up by the now disbanded Pune Warriors India for the 2013 season.
Over two years in the IPL, Richardson has played 10 matches and taken 11 wickets at an economy rate of 7.9.
