New Delhi, Dec 30 (IANS) Promising drag-flicker Gurjinder Singh is excited to show his skills for the Kalinga Lancers in the Hero Hockey India League (HIL) 2015, and said his team is one of the strongest sides in the league starting Jan 22.
"It is exciting to see yourself as a part of HIL where both young and experienced players as well as domestic and foreign players get to showcase their skills and prove their worth on an unparalleled platform. It is a stage which helps players like me to learn more each day and better the performance for the next day," he said.
Gurjinder played for the now-defunct Mumbai Magicians in 2014.
"Kalinga Lancers' team line-up, I believe, is one of the strongest in the league. With the penalty corner opportunities that will be created by the likes of Lalit Upadhyay, Argentine Lucas Villa and Australian Russell Ford, I will give my best to convert most of them into goals."
In the first match, the Lancers will take on Ranchi Rays at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
