The 2023 edition of the Khelo India University Games is scheduled to begin on Thursday (May 25) with a grand opening ceremony in Lucknow. The 10-day-long competition will be hosted jointly by Uttar Pradesh and Delhi.

However, the first event will begin on 23rd May, Tuesday in Gautam Buddh Nagar. Around 4000 students from 200 different universities in India have registered for the third edition of the event.

Panjab University emerged as the winner of the first edition of the KIUG, while Karnataka's Jain University won the second edition of the competition.


Khelo India University Games Day 1: Schedule & Timings

Day 1 of the University Games will see only one sport take place, while the remaining ones will commence in the later days of the event.

The men’s and women’s kabaddi events are all set to commence on Day 1. The event will take place at the SVSP Sports Complex - Indoor Hall in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Tuesday, 23 May.

The men’s event is scheduled to start from 4:00 PM to 8:45 PM, while the women’s event will start from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Here is the complete schedule for Day 1 of the competition:

Kabaddi (Men's) - 4:00 PM - 8:45 PM

Kabaddi (Women's) - 4:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Khelo India University Games Day 1: Where to watch

The fans can tune in to the Prasar Bharati YouTube channel to catch all the live LIVE action from the event. The matches will also be televised on the DD Sports channel on TV.
