The reverse countdown to the National Games 2024/25 in Uttarakhand has started. Like the Olympics, the torch will be a significant part of the mega sports event in India, and the officials have decided to cover a distance of 3,823 kilometers in the torch rally ahead of the event.
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Sports minister Rekha Arya's efforts have helped Uttarakhand become the host of National Games 2024/25. The entire state is excited to host the mega event, and to ensure the excitement reaches a whole new level, the authorities have planned a lengthy torch rally.
This rally will begin on December 26 from Haldwani. It will reach 99 places over the next 35 days, with 14 torch centres each in Almora and Pauri. This rally will cover all 13 districts of Uttarakhand.
The start date for the National Games 2024/25 event is January 28. Several sports events will be held in Uttarakhand until February 14, which is the closing date for the tournament. Athletes from all parts of the country will compete across different sports.
