Cricket will return to the Asian Games after a gap of 8 years in the forthcoming edition of the tournament, which will take place in China's Hangzhou between September 23-October 08.
14 men's cricket teams and 8 women teams will compete for glory, which includes powerhouses like India and Pakistan.

Both India and Pakistan"s men and women teams will directly play in the Quarterfinals.
The men's competition will see a total of 17 matches being played between September 28-October 07.
With the World Cup on the horizon, Pakistan have named a second-string squad for the men's tournament. They will be led by uncapped Qasim Akram.
The squad consists of a majority of players who are regulars in the 'Shaheen' set-up like Aamir Jamal, vice-captain Omair Bin Yousuf, Arshad Iqbal, Rohail Nazir etc.
However, it's also bolstered with international players like Haider Ali, Asif Ali, Muhammad Hasnain, Shahnawaz Dahani and Usman Qadir.
Pakistan will open their campaign in the Quarter-finals on October 03.

Speaking of their women's team, it will be led by bowling all-rounder Nida Dar. She recently led the home team to a 3-0 clean-sweep over Proteas Women in her maiden assignment.
Explosive batter Ayesha Naseem has been omitted from the squad following her decision to retire from international cricket.
The squad is stacked with a mix of experienced players like Diana Baig, Fatima Sana, Sidra Ameen, Omaima Sohail and U19 stars like Anosha Nasir, Shawaal Zulfiqar and Syeda Aroob Shah.
The women's competition will take place between September 19-25. The Pakistan Women's team will directly start from the Quarter-final stage on September 21.
