The completely outspoken clown of social media, Piers Morgan, is quite well known for his controversial statements that he unhesitatingly imposes on other people. Add to that his annoying habit of randomly correcting people's grammar as a means to avoid answering tough questions, and one can safely conclude that the man is one among the most disliked people on Twitter. However, love him or hate him, you certainly cannot ignore the wonder that is Piers Morgan.
While showcasing an example of rabid nationalistic pride at Great Britain's performance at the Rio Olympics, Morgan took every opportunity to ridicule other European nations for not bagging as many medals as the Brits did. While Britain’s performance at the Summer Games was certainly impressive, the country did face a lot of flack prior to the Games for its European Union exit.

Keeping that in mind, Morgan set out on a mission to lash back at neighbouring countries for their relatively poor performances in Rio. He started out with the Wales Football team and pointed out that they received a bus parade for reaching the semi-finals of Euro 2016. His tone categorically implied that he considered the roadshow an unnecessary extravagance and overstatement. However, the man did not stop there.
He went on to further ridicule India for winning just two medals at Rio 2016, adding that the adulation medal winning athletes receive in the country was nothing less than embarrassing.
He was in for some massive shock when the Indian section of the Twitterati trolled him for mocking the “country of 1.2 billion people.” Here are the best responses.
Taking digs at the country of Britain and their history as colonisers, some people hit the nail right on the head.
While some answered trolls with more embarrassing trolls.
Of course, the favourite target for many was Arsenal.
For a while, it looked like Piers Morgan had been silenced for good. But being as thick-skinned that he is, he looked to further carry on the battle. As things stand, it does not look like this is going to stop anytime soon.
So, keep calm and watch Twitter dismantle Piers Morgan.
