Wolverhampton Wanderers have appointed former Cologne manager Stale Solbakken as the man to take over the empty hot seat at Molineux and he will officially take charge on 1 July.
The Norwegian will officially take over the Molineux club on 1 July after holding talks with the club on Thursday.
The 44-year-old, who was fired by Bundesliga side Cologne last month, said: “I am delighted to be taking up the important challenge to manage Wolves.”
The former Wimbledon player will be formally confirmed to the media on Monday, according to chief executive Jez Moxey.
Terry Connor will manage the side for their last match of the season on Sunday against Wigan as part of the contract he was given in February following the departure of Mick McCarthy.
Wolves were relegated from the English top flight last month and Solbakken will be hoping to take them back up to the big time in his first stint as boss in England.
