Swaran Singh crashes out of rowing quarter-finals

Sawarn Singh of India competes in the Men’s single sculls quarter-finals on Day 3 of the Olympics

India endured more disappointment after the exit of the Indian men and women archers’ earlier in the day as Swaran Singh crashed out of the Men’s singles sculls quarter-final on Day 3 of the Olympics.

Singh finished 4th with a time of 7 min 11 secs. He needed to qualify amongst the top 3 to qualify for the semi-finals.

He will now compete with other losing quarter-finalists to determine his final ranking ( upwards of 13th place ).
