1. IPL: CSK’s Vijay, Hussey thrash Punjab for 10-wicket win

In one of the most dominant wins of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Murali Vijay and Michael Hussey helped Chennai Super Kings (CSK) thrash Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 10-wickets here at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium Wednesday.

4. SKYCITY New Zealand Badminton Open: Jayaram, Pawar progress to second round

India’s Ajay Jayaram overcame serious resistance from unheralded Malaysian Winson Neo before advancing to the second round of the SKYCITY New Zealand Badminton Open, which got under way at the North Shore Events Centre in Auckland.

5. Bahrain accused of pre-Grand Prix arrests

A rally in Sanabis, west of Manama, on Tuesday in solidarity with jailed activists and against the Formula One Grand Prix. Bahrain has been rounding up pro-democracy activists ahead of its controversial staging of the April 21 Formula One Grand Prix two years after a bloody crackdown, Human Rights Watch says.

6. Heat clinch NBA playoff home-court edge

7. Briton Ward in hospital after marathon match

British number two James Ward ended up in hospital following his marathon heroics during the Davis Cup at the weekend. The world number 214 played two gruelling five-setters in Britain’s shock 3-2 win over Russia in Coventry. Ward won a tough match against world number 67 Dmitry Tursunov 6-4 in the fifth set on Sunday but that success, one of his best ever results, came at a price.

8. Potter wins traditional Par-3 Contest ahead of the Masters
