1. Bayern destroy Barca to reach Champions League final:

Bayern Munich cruised into their third Champions League final in four years as a 3-0 win over Barcelona at the Camp Nou gave them an incredible 7-0 aggregate victory.

2. IPL 6: Hyderabad humble Mumbai

Shikhar Dhawan guided Sunrisers Hyderabad to a seven-wicket victory against Mumbai Indians in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here Wednesday.

3. IPL 6: Warner, KKR fielding give Delhi third win

An unbeaten 66 of 42 balls by David Warner and fielding proved to be the difference as Delhi Daredevils beat Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets for their second successive win in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium here Wednesday.

4. Celtics claw their way back into NBA series:

Kevin Garnett finished with 16 points and 18 rebounds and Jason Terry had 17 points as the Boston Celtics staved off elimination with a 92-86 win over New York in game five.

5: Yonex Malaysian Open: Unheralded Indian Sameer Verma shocks 4th seed Wei Fen Chong to storm into 3rd round

Unheralded Sameer Verma of India created a huge upset at the Yonex Sunrise Malaysian Grand Prix Gold Badminton Championships being played in Kuala Lumpur. Sameer shocked fourth seed and world number 12 Malaysian Wei Fen Chong 21-15, 16-21, 21-19 to march into the men’s singles third round.

6. Ferrer toughs it out to reach Portugal Open last eight:

Spanish player David Ferrer returns a ball in Barcelona on April 24, 2013. Ferrer had to dig deep to reach the quarter-finals at the ATP Portugal Open on Wednesday finally overcoming Frenchman Eduardo Roger-Vasselin 6-4, 4-6, 6-3.

7. O’Sullivan in semis before ‘final farewell’

Defending champion Ronnie O’Sullivan eased into the world championship semi-finals on Wednesday and, true to his unpredictable nature, said he had only returned after a self-imposed exile because he needed the money to pay his children’s school fees.

8. World Snooker Championship: Ding out as Hawkins wins

Ding Junhui’s hopes of becoming the first Chinese player to win the world snooker title will have to be put on hold for another year following a 13-7 quarter-final defeat by England’s Barry Hawkins at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre on Wednesday.
