1. Quit calls for Srinivasan grow stronger amidst Dawood links

Calls for Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president N. Srinivasan’s resignation got stronger amidst revelations by Delhi Police that fugitive don Dawood Ibrahim allegedly had links to the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing scandal.

2. Liverpool sign Kolo Toure

Liverpool have announced that a deal in principle has been agreed with Ivorian defender Kolo Toure. The Manchester City man’s contract runs out on the 1st of July, and will bolster a back line short of experience following Jamie Carragher’s retirement and Martin Skrtel’s rumoured departure.

3. Dimitrov through, Date-Krumm out as rain swamps Paris

Highly-rated Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov reached the French Open second round while Japanese veteran Kimiko Date-Krumm bowed out Tuesday as torrential rain caused havoc at Roland Garros.

4. Troubled Tomic quits French Open with injury

Troubled Australian star Bernard Tomic suffered another setback in his faltering career on Tuesday when he quit his French Open first round match with an injury.

5. Swann spins England to victory over New Zealand

Graeme Swann bowled England to a commanding 247-run in the second Test against New Zealand in Leeds on Tuesday with rain unable to save the tourists.

6. Nike to halt Livestrong merchandise

Nike has decided to stop making products for disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong’s cancer charity Livestrong, but will still support the group financially, the sports products giant said.

7. Pacers beat Heat to level NBA series at 2-2

Centre Roy Hibbert scored 23 points as the Indiana Pacers went on a 13-3 run to close the game and beat the Miami Heat 99-92 in game four of their NBA semi-final round series.
