The Super Bowl is one of the most widely watched sporting events, even though most of its audience is from North America. The Super Bowl is only second to the final of the UEFA Champions League in terms of viewership.
For this year’s Super Bowl, CBS, the broadcasters of the event, charged as much as $3.75 million for a 30 second ad. Even though the tickets sold declined compared to last year, the ad revenue for the broadcaster saw an increase of 7%.
