Indian opener Murali Vijay, who is at present recovering from a thumb injury in the Men in Blue’s ongoing tour of the West indies, has wished the country’s 119-member contingent that is going to Brazil the very best in their quest for the Olympic medal.
“I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every Indian olympian a blast in Rio. Hopefully you guys win a lot of medals for us.You guys have made us proud already. All I want you guys to do is just go and experience it. It’s an unbelievable experience for all of you,” the right-hander said.
Vijay’s message to the contingent comes a day after the Indian Prime Minister Mr.Narendra Modi flagged off the ‘Run for Rio’ marathon and said he expected the Indian contingent to do well in the 31st edition of the Games in Brazil.
