400 players from 37 countries participated in this year’s edition of the Dutch Junior Open, including eighteen juniors from India. In the girls under 15 Akanksha Salunkhe was victorious defeating second seed Sarah Lauridsen from Denmark 11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 11-3 in the final.
Akanksha won her first match against Katie Manternach of the USA, her pre-quarter match against Jane Pincus of the USA , her quarterfinal against Nehaarika Balmurukan (all 3-0) and beat Shamika Reddy 3-2 in her semi finals who finished with a bronze medal.

Veer Chotrani finished 4th in the boys under 13 category. Veer lost to Ali Yacout, Egypt 3-1. Tushar Shahani and Madhav Dhingra finished 5th in boys U-13 & U-19 respectively.
