The World No. 1 Squash champion Nicol David of Malaysia will face the world no.2 Jenny Duncalf of England in the Cayman Islands Open Squash tournament final. The top seed won a convincing victory against her opponent Australian Rachael Grinham by defeating her 11-5, 11-7 and 11-9 in the semifinal match on Friday.
Grinham was never able to pick up her pace in the match though in the third set she led by 9-7 in the third match. But the defending champion quickly acuired four points to turn the match in her favor. The game was over in just 30 minutes.
On the other hand Jenny Duncalf beat fourth seeded Madeline Perry of Ireland by 11-8, 11-8, 11-5 in the match. It took Duncalf 42 minutes to win against her rival and confirm her berth in the final.
It is going to be another action packed match when the world’s two greatest players will play against each other. Surely Duncalf will be looking forward to take revenge of her defeat in the final of Chennai Open( March 7) by Nicol.
