Indian boys win squash silver at Asian Youth Games

Nanjing (China), Aug 23 (IANS) India went down 1-2 to Malaysia in the final to settle for the silver medal in the boys squash team event at the Asian Youth Games here Friday.

The Indians fought all the way in a match that could have gone either way, but the Malaysians delivered when it mattered most, winning the opening two singles matches in the fifth game before Darren Ti Lunn Chan closed the tie defeating Madhav Yogesh Dhingra 3-1.

Boys final: Malaysia beat India 2-1 (Eain Yow Ng lost to Vijay Meena 11-5, 11-7, 9-11, 6-11, 5-11; Mohd Syafiq bt Kush Kumar 11-4, 7-11, 11-3, 10-12, 11-6; Darren Ti Lunn Chan bt Madhav Yogesh Dhingra 11-3, 8-11, 11-7, 11-1).
