World Squash Federation to revive World Cup competition

The World Squash Federation has decided to revive world cup competition after ten years. Chennai will host the event from March 8 to 10 next year.

Federation President N Ramachandran announced after the 40th AGM of the Federation in which 45 countries participated at the resort Fishermen’s Cove today.

The last edition was held ten years ago in Holland.

The Federation is making another bid to find squash a place in Olympic Games by the 2020 edition. The Federation is making all efforts to make squash spectator friendly as well as increase its television appeal, Mr Ramachandran said.
