Pravin Jadhav is an Indian archer who specializes in the recurve discipline. He was among the three men archers alongside Atanu Das and Tarundeep Rai who represented India at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He did not experience a remarkable campaign at Tokyo 2020 after making an early exit from the tournament.

Jadhav bowed out after losing to reigning world champion Brady Ellison of the USA in the round of 32 of the men’s individual event. Despite a brave effort, the 27-year-old lost in straight sets to the American, who was a bronze medalist at the Rio 2016.

Jadhav made his debut for India at the 2016 Asia Cup Stage 1 in Bangkok and won a bronze medal in the men's recurve team event. He was also a member of the Indian B team at the 2016 Archery World Cup stage in Medellín the same year.

Later on, Pravin Jadhav got a place in the Indian team at the 2019 World Archery Championships, which marked their first qualification for the final since 2005. Notably, the Indian team showcased an impressive performance in the tournament, earning a silver medal.

USA's Brady Ellison knocked Pravin Jadhav out of Tokyo 2020

In a closely contested opening set, Pravin Jadhav fell short of one point (27-28) to the American. The Indian shot a low seven in the following set but Ellison took an opportunity from it and won it by 27-26, which saw him take a 4-0 lead. The Indian couldn't do anything in the third set, as he shot only 23 and all his arrows ended in the red zone (8, 8, 7).

Ellison, on the other hand, secured 26 points in three attempts and eventually registered a convincing 26-23 win, which resulted in the elimination of the Indian archer.

Notably, in the first eliminator, Jadhav showcased his prowess, defeating Galsan Bazarzhapov of the ROC in straight sets (29-27, 28-28, 28-24).
