Yashaswini Singh Deswal is an Indian shooter who has been ranked world No. 1 in 10-meter air pistol since 2021. She participated at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 10-meter air pistol and ended her campaign after the qualification round.
In the event, only the top eight contestants will qualify for the medal round. Deswal finished in the 13th position with 574-11x at the Asaka Shooting Range and didn't qualify for the medal round.
Yashaswini Singh Deswal failed to make an impact from the start as she faltered in her opening series with a score of 94. The 27-year-old later bounced back and scored 98, 97 and 96 in series two, four and five, respectively. She required an almost flawless final series to stay in contention for the medal round but ended up with an average of 95.

Yashaswini Singh Deswal, hailing from New Delhi, began her shooting career in 2012. She took part in the 2014 Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, and finished sixth in the 10-meter air pistol event. She then clinched silver medals in both the individual and team events at the 2016 ISSF Junior World Cup in Germany and later clinched gold in the team event in Qabala, Azerbaijan.
At the 2016 South Asian Games, Yashaswini secured a gold medal in the team event and a bronze medal in the individual event. At the 2017 ISSF Junior World Championship, she equaled the world junior record of 235.9 and won the gold medal.
She later triumphed at the 2019 ISSF World Cup in Rio de Janeiro, which helped her earn a quota at the 2020 Summer Olympics after a win over Olena Kostevych, a former Olympic and world champion, in the final. Continuing her success, she won a gold medal at the 2021 ISSF World Cup in Delhi with a score of 238.8.
