Indian table tennis ace Manika Batra continued her winning streak in the Paris 2024 Olympics after a dominant win against France’s Prithika Pavade in the women’s singles event.
As the 29-year-old Indian paddler progressed to the Round of 16, fans took to social media to congratulate the two-time Commonwealth Games gold medalist for her assured performances in Paris.

Manika Batra declares Paris 2024 Olympics medal intent with a dominant win against Prithika Pavade
Batra showed her intent to secure a podium finish at the Paris 2024 Olympics after she completely dominated the match against French paddler Prithika Pavade.
19-year-old Pavade, ranked 18th in the world, was completely outmatched by Batra in terms of skills and pace on the night. With a series of long rallies, Batra silenced the otherwise energetic French crowd at the South Paris Arena.
After a tense start, Batra came into the match and did not let the lead slip at any point. She finally won the match 11-9 11-6 11-9 11-7 and became the first Indian table tennis player to advance to the Round of 16 in the singles event at an Olympic Games.
Batra will face the winner of the match between Hong Kong's Zhu Chengzu and Japan's Miu Hirano in the Round of 16 match.
